... That wasn't even funny if you think it was.
I've got a better idea: go kill yourself with fire, dear.

Ha! oh wow, my intent was not to offend....It's called a sense of humour (you should try it sometime). I have nothing against spiders and being an avid lover of all animals, I actually think it's quite a beautiful spider, hence why I faved the picture...... telling me to commit suicide...and actually meaning it?....come on!

I was kidding when I said what I said....I don't wish any harm to come to your spider by fire or any other way....but if you feel the need to tell me "go kill myself" over a joke...then I worry about you.
*unfaving*

Well, but you did offend me and my spider. That's a kind of bad joke, and I'm rather worry what you can't see it.
If I wrote such a comment about your little puppy or kitten (or something else you love and care about) you would be happy and laugh?
Think about it because you can offend a lot of people speaking like that. I like jokes but it isn't a kind of joke I could accept and I think not only me.
If you think she is beautiful, okay, I'm glad, but the first part wasn't necessary.

I'd rather not get into a tiff with someone over a comment, and I do apologize for the offence.... but the whole "kill it with fire" thing is an internet meme... I assumed that you'd know about it being an owner of spiders...

ANY time I look at picture of a spider or insect on the internet I'm almost guaranteed to see a comment from someone saying "kill it with fire"
So, I wrongly assumed that you'd know about the whole "kill it with fire" meme because you have so many pictures of spiders and I'm quite surprised no one has said it to you before.....

[link] << see? it's just a meme.....no harm done.
FYI... I used to own a Chinese crested dog (the hairless ones) and many a time people have told me "kill it will fire" but because I understood the meme it was funny....They weren't actually going to kill her with fire.

I don't know this meme. And even if it still would make me angry - just all that hate to spiders though they did nothing to be so hated.

I never got a comment like that.
It may be just a meme, a very stupid meme, but when you never heard about it + you're from Poland, surrounded by people who would really LOVE to kill a spider, it's obviously you're angry when you hear that.

Now when I know what you meant... that's okay. But just better don't use memes like this one to people who have spider-pets.

Point taken. I don't think the meme is because of hatred towards spiders but more of a fear of them. Anywho...lesson learned.
You might wanna be prepared though, someone at some point will say that to you again...it's only a matter of time....this is the internet after all...

This specie was supposed to be my first tarantula too, but over 2 years ago I bought one, they send her to me, but she died during the journey :( My first was Avicularia versicolor.
And btw - LOVE, freakin love your avatar! =D I love Joltik.

Really?! Mine molted about 2.5 months ago, and now just a few days ago she molted again! Before she was about 4 centimeters long (body) and now she is almost 5.5 centimeters!

May I ask who did the avatar for you? =D

haha I wish mine molted like that. She has only molted once in my care. She goes on a 8 month fasting period (through the winter) molts in the spring, eats all summer and then fasts again. She is doing exactly what she did last year X3 I am not worried though because she has a big ol fat butt.

The avatar wasn't made specifically for me, but is free for anyone to use as long as you give credit. Their username should be in my signature (if not i had better put it there) lol. *checks* Its by Fox-feathers

I know what you mean, my Avicularia versicolor has molted about 19 months ago!!! She freakin drives me nuts, she doesn't want to eat (one cockroach for 2-3 months) and doesn't want to molt.

Okay, thanks! =D

Yes, males are smaller and more "skinny" than females, girls are massive.
Well, it happens that they eat their mate. But not always of course.

thats a good thing on not always eating their mate. did you know they found a new spider in 2009 in Madagascar called the Darwin Bark Spider :? its silk is the strongest biomaterial ever found. beautiful spider
